Description
Tapentadol Aspadol 200mg
Tapentadol, marketed as Aspadol 200 mg, is a prescription medication used to manage moderate to severe chronic pain, typically when other painkillers are not sufficient. The 200 mg tablet is usually an extended-release formulation, designed to provide pain relief over a longer period. It is generally taken twice daily, approximately every 12 hours, with or without food. It is important not to crush or chew the tablet because it is formulated to release the medicine gradually.
The dose is carefully adjusted by a doctor based on pain severity and individual tolerance. While some patients may start with lower doses such as 50 to 100 mg twice daily, doses can be increased under medical supervision up to 200 mg twice daily if necessary. The maximum daily dose is usually around 500 to 600 mg. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible unless it is close to the next scheduled dose, in which case the next dose should be taken at the regular time without doubling up.
Important: Dosage must always be prescribed by a doctor and tailored to the patient’s pain level, health, and previous opioid use.
